My family love homemade hamburgers and cheeseburgers. The homemade buns take traditional hamburgers to the whole new level. I know, it is much easier just to buy a prepared buns at a store, but trust me it is for sure worth your effort to make everything from scratch.
Ingredients:
Buns
1 1/4 cup milk, warm
1 beaten egg
2 tbs olive oil
1/4 cup sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
2 tbs flaxseeds (optional)
2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
1.5 lbs ground meat
2 medium onions
1 tbs Ras El Hanout Spice Mix (see in my Ras El Hanout Spice Mix post)
2 avocado
Kale
For the buns, I use my bread machine to make a perfect dough. Place all the ingredients in a bread machine on a dough setting and wait for about 90 minutes.
Divide the dough equally on 12-15 pieces and place them on a baking pan. Bake in preheated 375 F degree for 18-20 minutes until they are golden color.
Chop the onions and saute them with an olive oil and Ras El Hanous Spice Mix.
Mix the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste and grill the patties. Add cheese optionally.
Slice the buns on a half. Spread ketchup and/or mustard on a bun, place kale, avocado, onions and a cooked patties.
