This dish was so tasty, the fish was full of flavors, nice and crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. I served it with steamed green beans and mashed potatoes. That combination elevated my dish to a different level with the creaminess of mashed potatoes and the freshness of steamed green beans. The dish was quick and easy to make, so anyone can recreate it.
Ingredients:
6 pieces of mahi-mahi
4 tbs butter
1/2 chopped onion
1 tbs chopped fennel
1 tbs chopped dill
1 glove of garlic
1/4 cup flour
2 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
Mashed potatoes
Steam Green Beans
On a medium heat, in a sauce pan add butter, chopped onions, chopped fennel, dill, and garlic.
Saute everything for about 5 minutes. Until the onions become colorless.
In a small plate mix flour, salt and pepper.
Dip both sides of the fish into a flour mixture.
Place the floured fish on the pan with onions and fennel.
On medium-low heat, cook one side for about 5 minutes or until the fish is golden, then flip the fish.
On medium-low heat, cook the other side for another 5 minutes or until the fish is golden. Plate the fish on top of green beans and mashed potatoes.
Enjoy!
