Holiday Walnut Cookies (Mexican Wedding Cookies)

These delicious holidays cookies will make a perfect addition to your dessert table as well as a great homemade gift.

Ingredients
1 cup butter, room temperature
1⁄2 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1⁄4 cups flour
1⁄4 teaspoon salt
3⁄4 cup finely chopped walnuts
1/2 cup powdered sugar (for powdering baked cookies in)

Preheat the oven to 400F.  Mix together butter, powdered sugar and vanilla. Then slowly add in flour and salt mixture. Stir in the chopped walnuts.

When the batter is uniformed.  Using a table spoon, make small balls.  Pinch each ball from both sides creating a star (optional).  Place the cookies on the ungreased cookie sheet.

Place the cookie sheet in the preheated 400F over for 10-12 minutes, until they are lightly golden.

While the cookies are still warm, roll them in the powdered sugar.  I add the powdered sugar into the zipped bag and then place the cookies there.

Once all the cookies are uniformly powdered, take them out and place them on a plate to cool down.

Shift a little more powdered sugar on top and…
